Roam for free with Three

By Steven Hawthorn on 12/06/14

Three Mobile customers will soon be able to make calls, texts and use mobile broadband without roaming charges in five more countries.

The UK mobile operator’s Feel at Home scheme is already available to customers who use the Three Mobile network in Australia, Austria, Denmark, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Macau, Republic of Ireland, Sri Lanka, Sweden and the USA.

Customers who have a mobile phone contract with Three Mobile will be able to use their devices at their normal standard UK rate.

Now, even more countries will soon offer this service, with France, Switzerland, Israel, Finland and Norway being added to the list from July 1 2014.

This currently puts Three ahead of its UK competitors, before roaming charges are expected to be abolished from Europe from December 2015.

This news comes shortly after Vodafone announced that their customers will be able to use their 4G mobile broadband services in Spain, Italy and Portugal, without the expensive roaming charges applying.
